Bigger than The Beatles



It's no secret that everyone and their mother is on Facebook.


Now news organizations can jump on the bandwagon.

The Facebook social plug-in can be integrated to any web site. Sites like CNN.com and ESPN.com are at the forefront of the game, but anyone can embed this little treasure of social networking.

The Johnsonian's trying it out.

Not sure yet how it will go. At the moment it's mainly staffers using the widget.

This is one way to meet our readers halfway at the Facebook intersection without losing traffic on our site. Before the social plug-in, we were simply updating our Facebook page with the URL of recent news.

With this application, our readers can do the sharing themselves without ever leaving our page.

I never liked The Beatles anyway.
